We purify our natural artesian water through reverse osmosis (ro ), which is a treatment process that removes ionized salts, very fine solid particles and organic molecules from water. We then use ozonation, which is a chemical-free means of sterilization that leaves no color, after-taste or odor. The end result is nature’s purest water…with less mineral content.

Naturally Boulder® Artesian Water comes from an 852′ deep artesian well that draws our sparkling pure water from Colorado’s, Lower Arapahoe Aquifer, known for harboring some of the naturally purest, best tasting water on the planet.

From the artesian aquifier, the water heads straight to the bottling line, no trucking here. After being sampled and tested, it then undergoes a multi-step filtering process:

Now that the high quality artesian water is  particulate free, it’s time to bottle. At no time during this process does any of the water come in contact with a human before it’s bottled.

Some bottled waters are processed from ordinary municipal sources… Artificially distilled, purified // RO’d, and at times re-mineralized. Not Naturally Boulder. It’s simply real water the way nature intended it to be.

What is Artesian Water?

For water to be considered “Artesian”, the source must be a natural underground aquifer, which is a layer or formation of water bearing, permeable / porous rock or sediment, usually sandstone.  The water source for Naturally Boulder is the Lower Arapahoe Aquifier, part of what is referred to as the Denver Basin. It is a non tributary aquifier and is considerent distinctly prehistoric in it’s nature  Artesian aquifers are generally full of healthy minerals , and in the case of the Lower Arapahoe, an alkaline 8.3 pH. Naturally Boulder has an exceptionally pure taste.*Per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), water derived from an artesian aquifer is often more pure because the confining layers of clay and/or rock provide a protective barrier against contamination. The Lower Arapahoe Aquifier is separated from the surface by four separate and distinct  layers of  granite, guaranteeing a non existant or at most, minimal contaminant level.
